All of this cannabis around in many different forms be they the smoke type, vape type, eating type etc.

I have only ever had one joint in my life which was about 2 years ago. A bloke who lived in the same building rolled me one. I told him no tobacco as I used to smoke (Gave up in 1996)

So didn't want any tobacco mixed in. He rolled me a joint so I gave it a go.

I started smoking it like I used to smoke a cigarette and nearly coughed my lungs out and my throat was burning.

So tried a few smaller puffs but still too strong.

After I was sitting watching TV and I felt so tired very fast. It was all I could do to get to a comfy chair and I was knocked out for around 3 hours in a horrible semi-sleep-type state.

My heart was going mad and my mouth was dry.

What do you lot make of that?

Are any of these gummies better?  or what would be better than the above?

Something that would give me a boost during the day now and then and something to relax.

My experience was very similar.

Bought a joint on BKK soi 4.....not clever.....think it was mostly soil. Going to stick to Singha and Jack cokes from now on.

I don't smoke it for the same negative reasons that you mentioned. Hard on the throat and lungs. The smoke also irritates my tongue and the roof of my mouth for some reason. Even though smoking cannabis isn't as bad as smoking tobacco, it still contains ash and tar when you inhale cannabis smoke. And it can really smell up the place. So I stick only with either dry herb vaping or using some form of a cannabis edible. In my case, I use edible infused cannabis oil which I make myself by cooking raw dried cannabis in MCT oil for around 5 hours. The oil is a fantastic and potent way to go and you can make a large batch of it in one shot which can be kept used for many months ahead. But most of the time I still vape. The vapors don't contain any of the bad stuff, because there is no combustion involved. So it is only the good stuff contained in the cannabis that gets inhaled. I often cough just once or twice after taking a big hit from the vaporizer because it's a lot of dry heat, and it causes a slight and sudden irritation on the throat. But the irritation stops immediately within a few seconds.

Anyway, onto the psychoactive effects of cannabis. The first few times I used it, I also ended up just lying in bed for a few hours and not being able to do much. Some people call that "couch lock". It's pretty common for first time users. The first few times you use it, you pretty much drift away into a euphoria that lasts around three hours, during which you can't really focus on anything. After using it for a while though, your tolerance will increase and eventually you'll adjust and be able to function normally when you're high. It took me a few months to get to that point, but now I can pretty much vape it all night and I never really get couch lock anymore. To me the feeling is happy and relaxing, so I enjoy it. I can still concentrate and do things when I'm high, but short term memory suffers while your high and it's hard to stay focused on small details, so obviously I am more productive doing things when I'm not high. But it's all fine for me. Most of the time I use it only at night. Sometimes in the day, if I'm planning to take an afternoon nap. It just depends on how I feel. I don't see any downside to it, health or otherwise. So for me, it's a good thing. Alcohol to me is the opposite, lots of health risks and can impair physical judgment, making it difficult to drive and do other things. Anyway, alcohol is a discussion for another time.

Other people don't like the feeling from cannabis of not being able to focus so much and some get paranoia from it too. So it depends on the person. For me, it's a good thing. It does raise my heart rate a bit initially, but that dissipates after the first half hour or one hour after using it. Sometimes I don't even notice the increased heart rate. But for some people, cannabis is not a good thing at all. So it's a very individual thing. But I think it's hard to make a decision whether you like it or not based on using it once or twice. I think it takes some time for the brain to understand the psychoactive effects that are taking place and get used to the state of mind from it before one can really decide how they like it. I would say the best thing would be to try it three or four times over the course of a week or 10 days and then decide further what you think. In the beginning, I also preferred to be alone when I used it. Now it doesn't matter to me if people are around me when I am high or not.

THC overdose IMHO,

Heart racing, weak thready pulse, weakness, sweating, urge to vomit are typical symptoms.

Problem with strong cannabis is you can smoke a 1g joint in 10 minutes, but the effect takes 20mins to be noticeable.

If you don't know the strength of the cannabis, your tolerance or are inexperienced with smoking cannabis. Best to smoke 1/2 a joint then wait for 30 minutes if smoking alone, not really a problem if you're passing a joint around a group. If the joint had been 1/2 tobacco, you wouldn't have had a problem either.
