A fire broke out in a residential area in Pa Mok Subdistrict, Ang Thong Province, on December 4, quickly spreading to engulf multiple homes within minutes. The blaze resulted in extensive damage to four houses, but fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

At around 13:00 the Provincial Police Operations Centre in Ang Thong received a report of a house fire in the Pa Mok Municipality area, specifically in Moo 3, Pa Mok Subdistrict. In response, local firefighting teams were dispatched immediately to the scene, where they found that three raised wooden houses had been completely destroyed, and a two-story residence had suffered partial damage.

The fire spread rapidly due to the dry conditions and the presence of flammable materials, as the affected homes were involved in the business of making curtains and interior fabric items. Firefighters from Pa Mok Municipality, along with teams from surrounding local authorities, worked together to contain the fire. It took approximately an hour to bring the situation fully under control.

An initial investigation suggests that the cause of the fire may have been an electrical short circuit, though this remains under investigation.

In the aftermath of the incident, Ang Thong Deputy Governor Chawanin Wongsthitjirakarn, who was acting on behalf of the Governor, arrived at the scene to oversee the response efforts. Accompanied by the Pa Mok District Chief, the Mayor of Pa Mok, and relevant agencies, they coordinated the establishment of an emergency assistance centre for those affected by the fire. Additionally, the Ang Thong Red Cross was contacted to provide urgent aid to the victims.

Local authorities are continuing to assess the situation and provide support to those who have been impacted by this event.
