Seeking recommendations for Bangkok Agencies for LTR Appliciation - Wealthy Pensioner

Featured Replies

I'm ready to apply for a LTR Wealthy Pensioner Visa and have been in contact with several agencies to support me with the application.  It's a bit of a minefield with fees ranging from 85,000 baht to 42,000 baht (most common around 50,000 baht): from BOI certified agencies to big legal firms to individuals running companies.  Everyone says "we have a 100% success rate" because "we only submit applications we've fully vetted and which believe will succeed."  No-one wants to work on a success only basis though.

So, I'm looking for solid recommendations about firms you've used to successfully apply for an LTR  - Wealthy Pensioner Visa. If you're so minded a brief description of your experience and if possible the fees would be welcomed

Many thanks in advance

Current thread running.

OP @pedro01  had satisfactory report and good things to say.

His report was 50k + 50k

Yes - I used Baan Thai Immigration - I found them on Google, not via a recommendation. I CAN recommend them though.

https://btisolutions.co/ - ask for Thitsana

Cheers

I did exactly same thing.

Also another.

Have had quick detailed responses .

I didn't know what to expect regards financials.

It's clear that in fact $80k annual is required.

I'm a tad under so putting that option on hold.

Just posting this for anyone else interested in LTV.

If your passive income is simple clear pension income then I would recommend trying to apply yourself on the BOI website. I qualified with just my work pension. I found the BOI website application to be very easy and the BOI staff was very easy to work with once they started processing my application.

If your passive income is more complicated then by all means seek an agent.

it is very easy to do completely yourself (free) online.  The BOI will be your first contact and you can just google them and get their email or phone number.  The speak English very well and during my and from others' comments are very helpful and will guide you through the entire process.  Once you do make contact, you only need to sit at your computer and upload particular documents.  If you get to that point and have a quick question about anything you can either ask the BOI folks or here and we that have an LTR will gladly try to help you out in understanding if you are not sure what the BOI is asking about.  Those that have an LTR from all that I have read, had no real problems that couldn't be easily solved!  Totally do not need to have an agent do it for you in my opinion!

Goodie.

I read the OP title and what he outlined clearly in his OP.

He may read advice such as you provided and change his ideas.

The link I provided with first hand experience was in response to OP request.

That guy paid 50+50k.

For some that would be a preferred option..

Yes, he says the agencies guarantee success but I went through the process, had one or two stumbling steps but other LTR winners passed info to me that cleared it up in my mind as at first I didn't understand why the BOI wouldn't accept something but then once I got other notes, it was just too easy for me - total time frm start to receipt of visa less than 3 weeks.  Time on computer very few hours if that many!

Have gone through the 1-year check in (to provide address) can be done by agent or anyone you want but I went to BOI immigration and it took less than 10 minutes total time there!  too easy again.

Yes, if you have clear annual examples of in excess of 80k USD, like pension income, social security income, bank interest, foreign income tax statement (of at least previous 12 months+), then why not do it yourself? But if very complicated, I guess an agency could help... Or do you just prefer an arms-length transaction with BOI? Everything I've heard so far by people who dealth directly with BOI has been positive and they have been quick to respond to queries, so quite helpful.

I'm sure the OP can consider DIY given some of the posts in the thread.

Seems 80k usd annual income equates to 50k baht per week.

Coincidentally the guy in link I posted earlier used an agent at a cost of 50k.

Up to the individual with option he opts for.

Seems like chump change for the "wealthy pensioner"
