Google's New Willow Quantum Chip Indicates That Multiple Universes Exist
Well, despite the usual smartarse know-nothing comments, this is actually serious stuff. The whole idea of a multiverse infinite in time and space is slowly gaining ground in cosmology. Too many surprises as our observations get closer & closer to the Big Bang (too many well-developed large galaxies too early for current established theory to manage). Which suggests there's no beginning (no God?) and no end. All fascinating stuff but we may not know much more before most of us on this site will have met our own end (at least on this teensy-weensy planet). -

Reduced tax on wine has it happened anywhere on Phuket island?
It appears to have been a meaningless gesture, as there are national, provincial and local taxes, in addition to vat and other forms of taxes, they total 360%, so a small reduction is not going to affect the retail price. We've seen the wine prices have not come down at all and it's still virtually impossible to get an excellent bottle of wine here at a decent price. Single Vineyard Sonoma Pinots that I pay $50 to $60 for in the US can't be found here, and if they were available they would be 10,000 baht. Thailand has deliberately sabotaged their wine market with stunning ignorance, and have suppressed what could potentially be a multi-billion dollar industry and an outstanding way to attract the affluent tourists, as always very backward thinking on the part of the government. -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Some cars can charge at 11Kw on 3 phase, I think I read the new Sealion does. I would definitely buy the 3 phase 22Kw wall box that's capable of 7Kw single phase. I think we will see more and more cars with 11Kw charging capability, the Seal in other markets can for example. -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Thanks, so like in your posts before, you charge to 100%? At 79yrs old this is like I'm learning at 1st Year Engineering College again, but there's a big difference between the 18 year old brain and the Leo aged brain. 🙂
