Glad we agree it's your perspective.

Your claim i hate Israel doesn't make it a fact. No matter how many times you repeat it.

It's simply not true.

The facts are in your posts, no matter how many times you deny them. Now still waiting for a response to this:

From a Jew living in Ireland for nearly 40 years. A small snippet of his piece that is broad and provides some good insight including wanting politicians in Ireland to properly recognise how difficult life has become for Jews living there. Especially after the extreme and lie filled rant by the Irish President.

‘Anti-Zionism’ has become the new Antisemitism in Ireland

In Ireland, my home for almost forty years, (I was born in London where I lived until I was 18) vehement opposition to Israel and Zionism, in particular, has seen demonstrations with expressions that are antisemitic, including the flying of Hamas and PFLP flags and chants that hurl invective at all Jews, not just Israelis. On the campus of University College Dublin, a sign rippling with historical irony read, ‘Zionist-Free Zone’. The term Judenfrei, which it echoes, refers to zones which Reinhard Heydrich, one of the architects of the Final Solution, sought to establish in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe, by deporting Jews from those areas and murdering them.

The students’ union of Trinity College Dublin also declared that Zionists were not welcome on campus. At the height of the stand-off, Jewish students were offered a safe room if they felt they were in danger.

@stevenl  You can clear things up by answering one question with either "yes" or "no."  You can't add any words or explanation, just a one-word answer. The question is:  Does Israel have the right to exist behind secure borders as the homeland of the world's Jews?

My answer would be "yes."  What's yours?

Yes.

Very sad. Israeli flag taken down at the Embassy in Dublin. Hopefully it can go up once again, when Ireland has a government that is not so viscerally hostile towards Israel and antisemitic.

It doesn't depend on my definition, or even your definition .

The word Zionist means a person who believes that Jews have a right to a homeland in Israel .

That is what you believe , which makes you a Zionist

Up to you. There are different definitions for 'zionism', i don't care in which box you want to put me.

I agree with this statement 'Israel has the right to exist behind secure borders as the homeland of the world's Jews'.

What are the other definitions of what Zionism means ?

That is the very definition of what Zionists believe .

FIrst two results from Google :

Zionist :

Zionism is the movement for the self-determination and statehood for the Jewish people in their ancestral homeland, the land of Israel.

https://www.adl.org/resources/backgrounder/zionism

"someone who belongs to or supports a political movement that had as its original aim the creation of a country for Jewish people, and that now supports the state of Israel:"

Plenty of differences between those 2 definitions already, and there are many more. Again, up to you, please stop baiting me. I have stated my opinion.

Both definitions say the similar/same thing just using different words .

One was the definition for Zionism and the other was a definition of Zionist , so the results are slightly different because of two different words

You agree with both definitions of Zionism/Zionist  (they both say the same thing though)) and you are therefore a Zionist ,

Are you taking the position that of when you have shown to be wrong, you just  keep repeating the same wrong thing over and over again ?

There is only one definition and that is the one by Jews themselves, not the derogatory ones by those that hate Israel.

A Zionist is someone who advocates for an independent Jewish state where Jews can live in safety.

Just ask Joe Biden who says he is one.

Nonsense. That's the 3rd definition in this thread, again a different one.

There is more to it in the link if you click it, that agrees with all the previous stated but then of course you saying its nonsense from one of the most authorative sources available is absolutely in keeping with you.

Some of the reasons why Israel closed its embassy, from the Israeli Ambassador. Imagine how the Jewish community there feels when the baying mobs did this to their own Ambassador.

"They raised posters against me in demonstrations and called to expel 'the terrorist,'” she said.

“There were pictures of me with blood on my face - this was not condemned by the Irish government."
