Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Basically a rant borne out of sheer frustration! I've now made all my remittances to Thailand in the 2024 tax year and calculated the assessable income component (solely the UK State Pension) based on the 2023 TEDA's. All I need now are details of the 2024 TEDA's to tweak the figuring in my spreadsheet if necessary - plus, of course, the 2024 PND91. -

Did you have a happy Childhood?
Unfortunatley it is possibly the ONLY serious thread you have posted since Ressurrection. Your previous reputation knocks you down. -

A shame, that area of the riverfront used to be quite tranquil and pleasant. -

Trump’s big fat abject lie …and why he keeps telling it.
I understand Dr, Stillwagon was predicting a major airline catastrophe, caused by aircraft staff having compulsory vaccinations. Airline safety continues to improve, except in Russia. I also understand during the height of the COVID pandemic, unvaccinated COVID patients were 6-7 times more likely to need ICU admission than vaccinated patients. Ho-hum, another anti-vaxxer thread. It reminds me of Einstein's comment about the Universe and human stupidity. -

New Thai Police Chief Sets Bold Crime-Fighting Agenda
but where are you going to get this new man from? The police are paid a pittance and pulled from the lower ranks of society where there is apparently a commonly held belief that corruption is an acceptable way to get ahead in life. Fixing the Thai police would probably require some sort of mandatory anti-corruption campaign starting in the very early years of schooling. Unless the common man and society believes corruption is wrong and they feel shame about it nothing will change in my opinion. -

Did you have a happy Childhood?
my initially very serious thread has now been hijacked by the usual trolls so I am just playing along as I have nothing better to do and it is making me laugh - another good cure for depression/anxiety! they say laughter is the best medicine, don't they?
