Hi everyone,

I’m currently on an ED visa and planning to do a border bounce with a visa agent at Ban Pakkad Border (to Cambodia and back) to get a 60 day visa exempt. Does anyone know the current situation with e-visas at the border in 2025? Should I apply for an e-visa online before returning to Thailand, or can it be done at the border?

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year!

You need to clarify.

You do not obtain a "60 day tourist visa at the border"

Are you asking about a border bounce to obtain 60 day visa exempt entry.

Using minivan company (agent) good idea.

All evisas must be applied for online, but instead of getting a 60 day tourist visa why not get a 60 day visa exemption if your passport allows?

I guess I mean the 60-day visa exemption. What’s the difference?

One is a visa and other is visa exempt entry.

So clearly you are after the later.

Your permission of stay from Ed visa ending ?

I mean the 60-day visa exemption. Yes, that’s my plan—I’ll be using an agent.

Fine. The agent will check your current stamps. The agent can ensure same day return.

There can be extra fee for certain status. Example Non O.

Out of interest where are you located in Thailand

I’m in Pattaya. So, I don’t need to apply for an e-visa, right?

NO.

Your agent mini van company will advise.

Please do a follow up report after border bounce.

Currently changes at Laos borders.

Guessing your cost approx 3800-4000b ...?

Yes, I’ll ask the agent tomorrow.
I’ll be sure to give a report on the situation.
Last time I asked about it was a month ago, and it cost 4,000 baht.

You're sorted.

Please update after your 60 stamp.

For others doing the same...this thread outlined positive experience.
