4M baht taxable?
Sure….I can understand what you’re saying. But I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an audit to see if all of the sudden someone’s historical remittances go from a million baht per year down to zero. -

they just killed 2 of my dogs
How do you know it was rat poison? What is the evidence you claim to have? I’m just curious. Isn’t radiator coolant (or is it antifreeze) the usual suspect? I’ve heard stories of mixing food with broken bits of glass. That would definitely be a bad way to go. I take that one with a grain of salt as I imagine the dog would probably get a new painful crunces and some cuts to the tongue, gums, and rest of the mouth before swallowing. -

What are you feeding your Thai dog?
The dog at the family farm simply gets what is leftover from the day: chicken leftovers from the food or during slaughter, fish curry, bones, but mainly the old rice. It seems to be enough to feed him, and it is not a small dog either. I often worry about splintered chicken/fish bones, but generations of those animals had this diet without obvious injury. -

Toddler Rescued After 50-Minute Car Ordeal in Uthai Thani
File photo for reference only A dramatic incident unfolded yesterday in Uthai Thani province when a three-year-old boy was trapped inside a car for nearly an hour. Local police were alerted to the situation at Lan Sak market by a nearby vendor, who noticed the distressed child locked in a black sedan with the keys left inside. On arrival, officers found young All New crying and unable to unlock the car. Despite attempts to communicate, he was unable to act on their instructions, prompting police to call a locksmith to the scene. His anxious mother looked on, fearing for her son's safety. Approximately 50 minutes later, the locksmith managed to unlock the car, allowing the perspiring child to be retrieved safely. His mother, Sukanya, a grilled chicken vendor, had inadvertently allowed her son to enter the car while she was busy with her stall. Sukanya recounted how her son likely locked the doors by mistake, having climbed inside unnoticed. She thanked both the police and the locksmith for their prompt intervention and urged other parents to ensure their children are never left unattended in vehicles. This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the dangers of children being left alone in cars, underscoring the importance of vigilance to ensure their safety. -- 2025-01-07 -
