Remitly have you used them for money transfer?

Featured Replies

Remitly have you used them for money transfer? Looking at using them for the first time, was surprised with the differance in sending £1,000 via Wise today there was an 800 baht differance in favour of sending via Remotly

Cost 7 quid (b300) to transfer 1000 with Wise, rate 43.3

The rate you see on Remityl is a one off to new customers 43.8, also the fee is a one off

As a first time user, you get a one off better exchange rate that applys upto £1,000 in a transaction, any amount over that goes on their standard exchange rate on the day. Also becareful as my thai bank made a charge on the transaction unlike when I send via Wise they dont. I think this may be becaause Wise sends in baht to the bank.

They do. Never been charged by Bangkok Bank for currency exchange on WISE transfer.

Otherwise you have the 0.25% fee from the Thai bank (min 200, max 500 Baht).

Don't be fooled by first time specials.

Don't be fooled by low/zero fees before checking the exchange rates.
