Russia’s economy is doomed
Some of us know that Putin will not invade any NATO country, so that's irrelevant. -

Teeth extraction cost
I had an upper molar extraction undertaken in Chiang Mai end of November at private clinic. The tooth had split in half and couldn't be repaired. X-ray, injection, extraction, dressings and pain meds. Came to 1,000 baht all in. -

Has human existence become too complex for YOU to comprehend?
There are so many existential threats in the world; disease, environmental issues, food shortages, natural disasters. This is just one more thing added to the pile. Eventually, something will get us. Maybe we’ll live another 30 years and die of old age, but with the trajectory we’re on now, it feels more likely the amount of time we have left is something in between. -

He lost the plot
I disagree. IMO it's a mental disorder or an aberration of the mind. Generations of comedians will mock those whose brains exploded at any mention of Trump. Comedy shows will have a character with a mental condition ascribed to Trump. They'll get the biggest laughs. -

Dog Fatally Attacks 84 Year Old Owner at Home in Saraburi
Picture of dog from responders. An incident occurred in a village in Saraburi province, where an elderly man was killed after being attacked by his own dog. The attack took place at the man's home in the Dinso Pong community, Tambon Thap Kwang, Kaeng Khoi district, at approximately 08.00 on January 8th. Authorities from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation responded to the scene, where they discovered signs of a violent struggle. Blood stains were found scattered across the ground beneath the wooden house, with belongings in disarray. A male mixed breed dog, reported as a cross between a Thai breed and a Pitbull, was found chained up at the scene, barking loudly. The victim, 84-year-old Khun Tee, was found lying lifeless on the floor under the house, in front of a bathroom. His right arm had been severely maimed, with flesh completely torn away and missing, leaving only bone, from the elbow to the wrist. The left arm had numerous bite marks, suggesting the dog had attacked him viciously. A pool of dried blood covered his body, indicating the attack had taken place some time before the body was discovered. Emergency services took the body to Kaeng Khoi Hospital for an initial examination before sending it to the Forensic Institute in Nakhon Nayok for further investigation to confirm the cause of death. The victim's son, 52-year-old Prayong, explained that the dog, named "Ja Dam," was a beloved pet that his father had raised from a young age. The five-year-old dog had been living with his father and older brother, who has autism, for several years. Prayong, who lives in a separate house, was unaware of when the dog attacked his father. However, upon seeing the condition of his father's body, he speculated that the dog may have bitten his father's arm and dragged him across the floor. He also suggested that the dog might have been stressed, as it had been chained for an extended period. Local volunteer rescuer, Atchara, expressed concern over the missing parts of the victim's arm, unsure whether the dog had eaten it or discarded it elsewhere. The victim's daughter, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that she discovered her father's body in the morning, already in a lifeless state, lying on his side. She mentioned that her father had always cared for the dog, which had been with him since it was a puppy. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. -- 2025-01-08 -
