I am coming up to 90 days in Thailand on a DTV. Of course, the permission to stay is for 180 days.

Against my better judgement, I will do the 90 day notification at Jomtien. I potentially could just forget about it and leave Thailand on my booked flight in early March (around 130-something days)

Are these the documents required?

Completed TM47.

Copy of DTV e-visa.

Copy of entry stamp page of passport.

Copy of details page of passport.

Copy of TM30.

The situation is slightly complicated in that I visited another province and stayed in a hotel last week which definitely registered me as a guest using my passport and entry details. I hope this does not cause an issue.

The visit to another provience should not be an issue.

Also you list providing TM30 for report.

You might also need  basic copies of pp.

I don't understand why you are bothering with TM47.

You could just exit and reenter for another 180.

BTW for others.. what category is your DTV.

Sweet deal.

Yes, I have included a copy of the original TM30 in my list. Is that what you meant?

What do you mean by "basic copies of pp"?

Isn't that the form for 90-day notification? Is it another form?

That would cost several thousand baht either in air fares or land travel costs and Laos/Cambo visas. I feel this is entirely unnecessary as I am flying home in 40 days or so.

Skip all your other quotes.

So you are exiting Thailand in 40 days..

What is expiry of current 180 day permission of stay.

Seems to me he wants to do a 90 day report cause he's been here 90 days. Are you saying he doesn't need to with a DTV?

If he ignores the 90 day report then upon exit via air the TM47 is not checked.

When he returns he will be stamped in for another 180 days.

If he elects to do the report, then fine. Very basic docs. Suggest it would need to be done in person.

Folk with DTV don't require contact with immigration.

I'm still in shock with DTV soft concessions

Can you clarify that the list I gave in my opening post satisfies your definition of "very basic docs". I am hoping to get it done in one trip to Immigration.

I would prefer to have a risk-free approach as I do not know if I will need to contact Immigration in the last 40 - 50 days of my current stay.

So far this trip I have had 3 contacts with immigration. 1. TM30. 2 COR to register vehicle in my name. 3. COR to obtain Thai driving licence. Admittedly with better forward planning 2 & 3 could have been done together.

Many thanks for your assistance.

Your list covers everything they could ask for.

More than likely they will just take the TM47 and your pp.

I did one at CW on Nov 5 had the things you listed.

She didn't look at one.

Took my pp and TM47.

Completed TM47.

Copy of DTV e-visa. This was not wanted by Immigration. However, if your visa was stamped in your passport they did require a copy of that page.

Copy of entry stamp page of passport.

Copy of details page of passport.

Copy of TM30.

Jomtien. Processing time was quoted as one hour but in reality more like forty minutes. No appointment necessary. No ticket number necessary, just go straight to the 90-day desk = first desk of first building on the right. Do not go to the main information desk where queue numbers are handed out. There is no need for queue tickets for 90-day reports.
