Hello:  I was considering SubZero brand refrigerator.  Yes, it's considered "luxury" brand and has amazingly good reviews.  Instead of spending about 30 to 35 KBaht, I'd be spending close to 80 kBaht.  Question:  Given that sadly now-a-days the LG/Samsung/Hitachi/etc are rubbish in US-made/Thai-made, I was considering SubZero as it lasts close to 20 yrs .

Feel free to comment and specify model number if you bought a fridge in the LAST FIVE YEARS and had NO PROBLEMS yet!   Thanks for your effort.  I am open to normal brands still !

People that buy expensive stuff most always give great reviews.

Did you go see the one you like? I think unless you want built-in I think it makes little sense.

Maybe better to buy Samsung large refrig, as did I.

Samsung has a decent warranty, I think...

Then, if it cannot be fixed...

Chuck it out.

Buy new Samsung

This is what I have decided to do for all kitchen appliances and ACs, etc.

It's ALL garbage quality they sell here, compared to what it once was in the US...

So, the only thing to do is treat this garbage like the disposable goods they are.

Buy it, and then prepare to be forced to chuck it....soon after warranty expires, or even before.

This garbage is usually NEVER  work fixing.

I would buy the Samsung fridge again.

Because....it is significantly cheaper than the Hitachi I have.

Both machines, however, seem to be about the same quality.

The Samsung has a 23-year warranty on compressor, if I recall.

I just worry about the thermostat or something going kaflooey....
