A woman sustained head injuries after jumping in front of a train on the Bangkok–Phitsanulok route on the evening of 2 February, causing a delay in services.

The incident occurred at kilometre marker 365/1 between Bang Krathum and Mae Thiap stations in Phitsanulok, at approximately 17:35. The train in question, service ข.201 (Bangkok–Phitsanulok), was led by diesel locomotive 4224, with Mr. Mathee Umpijit as the driver and Mr. Manat Rodsakul as the train conductor.

According to initial reports, the woman, identified as Miss Kullnida Uppakut, a resident of Prang Ku district, Si Sa Ket province, jumped from the west side of the track as the train approached. The driver immediately stopped the train to assess the situation and found her alive but suffering from a head wound.

Emergency responders from the Burapha Bang Krathum rescue unit arrived shortly after and transported the woman to Bang Krathum Hospital for treatment. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Authorities at Bang Krathum Police Station were notified in accordance with standard procedure and are investigating the incident, in what is believed to have been a suicide attempt.

You mean getting out of the train while it was still moving?
