British Man's Urgent Plea to Save Dying Father in Thailand
I bet you do not look like you are on death's door like this guy, I can't imagine any airline taking him. Too much risk, too much at stake. A simple example, two weeks ago I was on a plane out of Bangkok bound for London, and I almost choked on a piece of chicken (I know it sounds funny) I had assistance from a doctor on board who was a passenger, I was OK after ten minutes as the object popped out. But by coincidence, we had to return to Bangkok as another patient had a medical emergency, and at Bangkok airport, a team of medics rushed onto the plane and took the passenger off to the hospital, then attended to me and then gave me a fit to fly certificate for the next day. All of the passengers had to stay in Bangkok for the night and fly the next day. I doubt very much if the guy in this article is anywhere near fit to fly, no airline would take him. -

What China could do next as Trump's tariff war ramps-up
Vance is such a wally, to put it politely. Speaking to Fox News last week, Vance asked rhetorically: “What has the globalist economy gotten the United States of America?'' His own answer was: “ We borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture.” Naturally the Chinese couldn't let that pass. “We may be peasants, but we have the world’s best high-speed rail system, the most powerful logistics capabilities, and leading AI, autonomous driving, and drone technologies. Aren’t such peasants quite impressive?” a Weibo user posted, according to CNN. Beijing attacks JD Vance’s ‘Chinese peasants’ remark in tariffs interview | China | The Guardian -

Trump Bets the White House — and GOP Control of Congress — on Tariffs
According to couple of sources as of April 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, the United States has implemented additional tariffs on Chinese imports, increasing the total tariff rate to 104% for certain goods. Oh, the winning, so much winning. I'm tired of all the winning. -

Trump Bets the White House — and GOP Control of Congress — on Tariffs
Trump's ultimatum includes a clear timeline for action. The additional tariffs would take effect on April 9, 2025, if China does not withdraw its 34% tariff increase by April 8, 2025. China no blink. 104% tariffs take effect tomorrow. "Trade wars are fun and easy to win."
