90 Day Report - Name printed incorrect on receipt from Jomtien Immigration

Recommended Posts

Just did my 90 report at Jomtien. When I came home and looked at the slip they stapled at the back of the passport, they printed one letter incorrectly in my surname. Is this going to be an issue moving forward? Will this be an issue with my next reporting when I do it online?

Also, the 90 day reporting, if you do it early it seems that you have 90 days from the date of when you report. Eg. if you report 14 days early the 1st time, your next 90 day reporting will be early again.

I'm guessing possibly.  So the solution is either go back to immigration now and get it amended, then hope the online works next time.  Or wait and see.  I know what I would do.

Yes.  That is my experience.

Most likely.

You could consider report via mail.

For report online and in person the 90 count starts from date of reporting.

For report via mail the count starts from previous due date.

If handy to Jomitien immigration office then wait till next report window is open and do it in person. (Best option)

In meantime do nothing

A 90 day report ( TM-47 ) is due when you PHYSICALLY stay in Thailand 90 straight days. Day 1 is the day your foot hits Thai soil past IMMIGRATION, no matter the time.

IF you do your report early, ( most offices allow you to do up to 5 days early ) day 1 is the DAY you DO the report.

AGAIN:

Your new 90 days START on the DAY of the report.

You can do report 2 weeks prior to due date and one week after for in person.

For online 2 weeks early till one week early.

Both of these will count from when report is made.

Via mail can be made two weeks early (best to do it early)

The count date for report via mail counts from existing due date.

Not official but clear outline of options here.
