Long story short.

Foreign couple, they have a pick-up and two motorbikes. All in the husbands name.

Husband died and after probate the wife left the country but signed all papers in order to sell the vehicles.

There is a buyer for the truck and we went to the DLT to transfer ownership to the buyer.

We were told the foreign wife of the dead husband has to be there in person in order to be able to transfer.

Is this normal?

We asked the lawyer who did the probate and he was not much help.

He was not interested.

How to proceed?

power of attorney should cover that, or try an agent first, maybe they can wangle the system

I was under the impression that the paper issued by the court would be sufficient and i can't understand why she would have to

be present.
