Ha ha ha, get used to it. I reckon it's all the disrespectful foreigners arriving, the Thai's are fed up with all the nasty, hostile, abusive, moaning foreigners. I've commented a few times on this forum how times have changed over the last 25 years. -

So many English speaking people find it very difficult to learn Thai, so it is not really surprising that so many Thai people find it difficult to learn English. I've been watching this annual reports come out for about 15 years now, and Thailand's ranking has not moved very much overy this time period. -

are you vacationing or do you live in the area? restaurants are trial and error. when you find good ones with nice staff and/or nice owners, you go regularly and keep giving them your patronage and when you find one with crappy staff, you take the loss. maybe don't order the most expensive thing on the menu when you are trying a new restaurant. -

some places are like that, some places are ok. I think they just have a bad attitude and are not customer friendly. If that happens I don't go back.
