If she had shown a shred of self awareness, she would have insisted on a mini-primary when Joe was thrown under the bus. IMO it's highly likely historians will be using Trump as the marker for the same fall.

In your story, I think Obama played the part of Commodus, and the USA's been circling the drain since then.
