Agree with Britmantoo on second point. You cant trust ANY woman. No matter from where. Had some involvements with Dutch , Antillean , Indonesian, Philippine, Thai. US steel industry lobbyists vehemently opposed any such waiver. DoD eventually granted the waiver, thereby increasing MRAP-relevant steel production by 40 percent. Funny article but it really is concerned with a particular type of steel. If the need ever arose in a brutal war to request more than 3% the US steel producers have to have the capability to deliver the amount and quality required. If the DoD just relies on foreign countries that is obviously not a desirable situation. -

Actually in my humble opinion the brave Ukrainian people have shown the way forward in this particular discipline smaller autonomous drones !heck they have utterly destroyed all the Russian assets in their area with meager off the shelf homemade stuff.definitely an area of growth especially if it was properly funded.could you imagine one with the punch of a ww2 Japanese long lance torpedo that could operate for weeks waiting for targets!yeiks!smaller and stealthier is the way forward in my opinion.
