spidermike007 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Find him guilty, lock him up and make sure he never sees the light of day again. Or better yet just take him out. Anyone who commits these sorts of crimes self revokes the right to consume oxygen. 1
spidermike007 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Granted, it's probably fairly difficult for those of us who have sanity and rational minds to even conceive of preying upon children. The harshest penalties possible should be applied to these twisted and demented souls. 1

Sounds like he could have ridden out of his years in Thailand. Dumb move to return to the scene of the crime 😔 He could not have "ridden out his years" here. If you read the Independent article that @Moonloverlinked to, they had already tracked him down in Thailand using AI-based facial recognition technology and Cheshire Police had started the process for extradition. 2

Popular Post Chongalulu Posted March 19 Popular Post Posted March 19 Basically,he’s won. Lived a fine life totally free for decades and now when he’s likely only got a couple of years left at an age when he just wants to sit around anyway ,returns to an effective care home -all meals, medical and bed provided- to gently see himself out. Who’d swap that for a long prison stretch in middle age..? 2 1

To do that they would have had to know his assumed ID and his travel details. I'm quite sure it wasn't just luck that they were waiting there on that particular day. Try reading this account below in the Ledbury Reporter. In particular have a good look at the matching ID photos the police used to finally nail him. https://www.ledburyreporter.co.uk/news/25016602.richard-burrows-paedophile-spent-27-years-run-guilty/

Agree with this one @Chongalulu the depraved pervert has lived out his entire life in one of the nicest countries in the world, as much as he may not see out Gen Pop in the clink he probably doesn't care and doesn't have that long left anyways, gripes me that someone that has done that will die thinking they have won. 1
Sydebolle Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Tell this to all those tree huggers and do gooders - I still advocate the gallows for pedophiles, rapists and drug dealers. The damages done by those culprits cannot be undone but you would avoid - guaranteed - any future repetition of "misbehaviour" while saving the tax payers hard earned money. 1

While he will be waiting for trial he will be treated to 5 star medical treatment at the expense of the UK tax payers. 2

Captain Flack Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Another troll post has been removed, for linking the name to a Bangkok blogger who is not involved. @thai006 there are two moderators comments in this topic, to stop posting that name, yet you still seem to think it would be funny to post it anyway. 1

You seem to be under some delusion that everybody in the UK who has a life threatening illness will receive 5 star medical treatment. Sorry to disillusion you, but that's not aways the case. The NHS carry out a screening process before deciding whether elderly patients qualify for expensive treatment. To put it bluntly, I very much doubt whether a convicted paedophile, who is likely to spend the rest of his life jail would receive anything more basic medical care. 1 1

Popular Post Albaby Posted March 19 Popular Post Posted March 19 He'll be in protection in a prison hospital. He'll get the best health treatment, a balanced diet and better heating than most Brit pensioners. That is the reality. Get over your hysterics kids. Sheesh! 1 1 1 1
globalspark Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Yep probably ran out of money and needed to get back to the UK.Must say he is smarter than most Farangs in Thailand as he has lasted until 80 years old. Most run out of dough early in the peace and if they are Australians run back home to get old age pensions. 1

He stole the 'Peter Smith' passport from an ailing Brit, who was, in fact, the father of one of Burrows' victims. He fled to Thailand using that passport and then the real Peter Smith died, so the loss of the passport was never detected. Burrows was able to continue using that ID to stay here in Thailand. But you got it just about right from there on. It was advances in AI and photo recognition that finally unearthed him. See the report in The Independent below. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/scout-paedophile-thailand-richard-burrows-b2717301.html

You are absolutely right but it is guaranteed, that this particular culprit will never ever commit any crime ever again apart from saving millions of UKP, EUR or USD taxpayers money. It's like the death penalty on drugs in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. It does not eliminate the problem completely but it certainly diminishes it and, in case of a drug dealer, see above. The security and safety of the majority is relevant, so kiss the human rights goodbye and rid society of pedophiles, rapists and drug dealers - me thinks 😉
