If located Rayong you would do border bounce using one of the agent companies located Pattaya. They run to Cambodia. No issue. I never did that in 20 years, and never had an issue at the Laotian border. I guess I would not try the Pattaya-Cambodia route because I never needed it ? 8 minutes ago, DrJack54 said: BTW: The idea of exit and reenter via air same day is crazy given your history. This was a first, and yeah, that was as stupid as it was crazy of me.

Yet you go to Nong Khai? Here is thread covers agent runs to Cambodia from Pattaya. You should be able to do it same day. https://aseannow.com/topic/1331485-border-run-from-pattaya-in-a-6-seater-vip-van/ 1

So to be clear ....are you located in Rayong? That makes little sense to go to Nong Khai Yes, I am located in Rayong. Why is does the Cambodian route make so much more sense when I have been successfully going by myself through Nong Khai to Lao (where Thai is also spoken, and the Thai baht useable) without any agency or fixer whatsoever for years and years ? I don't understand the confusion.

However have not read recent reports.

According to BrandonJT: 38 minutes ago, BrandonJT said: You're playing with fire. You don't have good chances coming back in any way on your own. 6 continuous months in Thailand, you are not a tourist. Use a border bounce agency or risk being denied entry and not being allowed back into Thailand. Are those agencies indeed reliable ? I apologize, Dr., but I have never used an agent, never crossed the Cambodian border (and never heard a relaxing story about it).

You haven't even read this thread. Here is copy from earlier post. Things have changed in regards to border bounces. Even previously safe easy crossings such as Nong Khai have changed. Of course the agent minivan runs are safe. Did you read link to thread I posted earlier. Guess not.

As I stated...continue with your plan. I have pointed out the changes to border crossings. I'm very aware of flying DMK to UT return. Then run to Nong Khai. In addition you're coming from Rayong not Bangkok. Enough. 1

What I didn't read was that I could do another visa exemption on top of my two previous ones via this "3 days 2 nights" trip though. I was reading this thread when you replied and was seeing other posters explaining how they were enjoying the Nong Khai border runs, compared to the "hassle" of the Cambodian border run. Thank you very much for your insights, they're much appreciated. 1

Thanks. I never need border bounce since I have an year extension of my Non-O visa. However when I come back to Thailand every year in November, the date of my return ticket is after the expiration date of my current extension. Could it be a problem one day ?

Could it be a problem one day ? If I'm reading you correctly seems you enter Thailand with a reentry permit? If that's the case you do not require onward flight. Anyone entering Thailand with a visa or reentry permit does not require onward flight.

If the airline knows about re-entry... Thanks
