Good evening.

I will be flying over Songkran to see my family in Europe and will be coming back to Thailand on the3rd of May when this new requirement comes active. There would like to know if anyone has seen somewhere, if Permanent Resident Permit holders are required to fill this form in or not, as i can not find any information on it on the immigration website.

Any reply would be appreciated.

What did you do previously when TM6 was around.

You still had to obtain reentry permit prior to exit from Thailand.

Suggest you do do the TDAC if in place May 3

I know what I would do. I'd fill it in just in case., takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.

Thank you Ralf and Upnotover, guess i have too. Seems that is not possible to fill in until before 3 days of traveling, and funny enough can not opt for Thailand as country of residence.

Thats because you are not a Thai citizen.

BTW, Thai citizens do not have to fill out the TDAC.

But you can understand the point.  They give you Residence but don't offer it as an option.  Not that it's a big issue, and it's even possible they will amend it by the time it actually starts.

Seems pretty simple to me.

Get a Thai passport.

Better change the question to country of citizenship (passport).

Don't see the fuss.

The 5th field in TDAC

is "nationality, Citizenship"

The field "country of residence" will be what's in citizenship.

For me both fields will be Australia despite the fact have not lived there 10yr+

Folks with permanent resident status are in same boat.

TDAC is for foreigners entering Thailand... passport country of issuance is kinda a given.

I'm a Permanent Resident in Thailand with PR booklet (originally blue, now white) , Thai ID card (salmon color), Tabien Baan (Household) booklet (blue), Alien Book (to register with police) (red).

In short, my Country of Residence is THAILAND and my City of Residence is Bangkok.

In the online TDAC, there is a box COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.  There is another box CITY/STATE OF RESIDENCE

If I type THAILAND into the COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE box, it rejects it.    What do I do?

First lose the capitals.

On the TDAC put your passport country for country of residence.
