One of democracies failings is when 51% of the electorate are idiots trapped inside their own social media echo chambers.

True that. Thank God the last election cycle trimmed that down to around 40% and falling. 2026 should clear out another 15-30% of what's left. (pun intended) 😁

On Topic: The stock market is already coming back AND over 70 countries are all lined up to beg forgiveness and work with the US. The senate has already passed the President Trump's budget and congress is filling in the rest. This WILL be finished and passed before Oct. 2025. For those of you that do NOT see these, watch here:

Yesterday I bought a cup of coffee for $3

Now I’ve got a $3 deficit with the coffee shop so I’m imposing a 50% trade tariff on them.

Today my coffee has cost $4.50

Trump did not say he would blow up the economy and impose tariffs, willy nilly.

Tariffs are just the blunt instrument Trump has chosen to change the globalist status quo.  In one fell swoop he puts the kybosh on the US leftist political elites, the climate change anti-energy anti-human idiots, and most importantly...Chayna!

The other blunt instrument in his bag was a kinetic war. he probably made the right choice. Let's give it six months for the oven timer to ping and we'll see what the cake looks like then. :coffee1:

Lots of empty words and  foolish slogans. Give us a break. Jerome Powell  is not a leftist politicaml elite. Nor is Larry Summers, nor Janet Yellin.

Trump received less than 50% of the popular vote.

Trump's ultimatum includes a clear timeline for action. The additional tariffs would take effect on April 9, 2025, if China does not withdraw its 34% tariff increase by April 8, 2025.

China no blink.

104% tariffs take effect tomorrow.

"Trade wars are fun and easy to win."

Trump blinked. In fact he was handed his a$$ in a basket.

China may let him spin it as a win.

People that know, know.

Sorta like how Kruschev let Kennedy claim victory in '61.

Or they might take offense at 125% tariffs and spank him again.  Maybe cut off his "raw" earths for national security reasons, or start shipping combat drones to Russia.

Bond markets decided the tariff issue for Trump.

Either back off, or US treasuries will be sold off in a complete loss of confidence in the greenback as a reserve currency.

Trump backed off.
