A2 English Test - Expired

Maybe a bit unusual this one. My wife originally came to the UK on a spouse visa back in 2013. As part of one of her FLR extensions she passed her A2 English which was accepted.  Unfortunately, we had to move back to Thailand and her leave to remain expired. We then moved back to the UK in 2023 with a new application and my wife sat a new A1 test (as a new application there didn't seem to be a way to use her old/expired English tests).  We are in process of preparing her FLR. I note that is says you can previously A2 test even if it's expired but accepted on a previous application.  I'm guessing we can use but not really sure as it's wasn't in this cycle - if that makes sense.  Anyone had any experience of this? Or any thoughts?

I think she can, but if her English is good, couldn't she do the B1 test, so that it's out of the way?

I think she may struggle to be honest - I'll have another look at the B1 test thou. She  has the English ability but really freezes in exams!  It took a couple of attempts for her to get the A2.

Ugh, I didn’t even realize my A2 English test had an expiration date until it was too late! Now I’ve got to retake it, right in the middle of juggling home assignments and work. If you’re in the same boat, don’t stress too much — I found some  https://eduhelper/essay-samples/migration   resources that really helped me understand the migration topic better (which sometimes comes up in the test). Plus, they’ve got free essay examples on different topics that are super helpful for practicing writing skills. Honestly, a little prep goes a long way!

I think the A2 test the OP is referring to is the UKVI test for people wanting leave to remain in the UK.  It is only Speaking and Listening.
