And, what are your thoughts about the dramatic demographic shift in California which has occurred so rapidly in such a very short period of time?

I more wonder about the rapid demographic shift before 1860, when there were still 5% natives there. Scalping and head bounties had not decimated all of them, yet.

Call about a change in culture...

spidermike007. Yes, the CA homeless are mostly white.  I have great memories of CA from the 1970s-2020s. Mostly So-Cal, especially Oceanside to La Jolla beach area. Been twice in last 5 years...but I prefer a small town in Mexico or Spain now. Just go to a smaller city, dress like locals, and relax. This is what I do to escape Thai smoky season. In ____ now. Cool air, sea breeze, no air pollution. Cheaper than BKK. To OP; Yes MX is better than CA.

I believe an ethnic melting pot can be beneficial on the long run to a culture.  Problem is California cancels anyone not with the far left mindset.  So I don't have an issue with color or ethnic origin.  But I do have a problem with the far left mindset that has taken root and is fed by California media every day.

California has as much culture as any state in America.

All/most countries have their unique culture.

Mexico has a unique and varied culture.

California, in many cities, now has a Mexican culture.

The United States has a unique culture that is not Mexican culture.

California is no longer part of the USA.

California is now part of Mexico.

This has always been the plan.

Invade California, and change the laws so that more people with Mexican culture can move to La Jolla.

You knew that....

RIGHT?

By culture we are NOT speaking about the FINE ARTS, or Jazz Culture, or Classical Music culture...THAT is a completely different meaning.

Culture is used here and defined by the information passed along from generation to the next.

And culture is defined, for example, as how much culture is required to build a 747.

THAT is the meaning of culture I was using.

The culture of different countries is often different.

I lived in CA for over 50 years.  It was good in the 1990's.   Things really took a turn in the 2000;s.    But CA is also a very big place.  I still have hope for Orange County. Most of the bad news comes out from Los Angeles and San Francisco (Bay Area in general and this includes Oakland). Yes the cost of living is unbearable but I have been looking up rentals in Orange County and probaly will move back in early 2026.  Irvine CA in the OC has been rated as one of best cities in the nation. Of course it is not cheap to live in a safe city but I am willng to pay at least $2,000 a month for a small studio or 1 Bed.  CA will always be home and I plan on making Orange County the next stop in this life.   Most of Orange County is the last bastion of conservative thinking in  CA.

I would gladly move to California if I could be back there, again, in 1960.

At that time, California was a great state.

Sorry to say but your diatribe is completely incomprehensible, and you seem to have this thing against Mexicans, and California is not Mexico. The only Mexicans I know in California are ones that work their butts off, are very honest and contribute in a massive way to the economy and make the local culture richer.

I simply think you've been watching too many podcasts and not spending enough time in California.
