You are right. The economy was doing well. Yet Trumpists in this forum  have been claiming that the economy is heading for a recession because of the cyclical nature of the economy. That was to forestall assigning the cause of the possible recession to Trump. Anyway, the first quarter of the year wouldn't have been affected much if at all by what Trump has done. Let's wait and see what the 2nd quarter looks like. And if it looks bad, the Trumpists will once again claim it's just part of the business cycle.
