These alcohol bans seem pointless, only the little family run shops seem to benefit.

But make sure you get your purchase in a non see thru bag as my local used to when I liked a beer or two.

By now I'm almost used to this 'no' alcohol thing; in fact, staying in Thailand is nowadays often like a non-alcoholic spa retreat. Few beers that I like (and the imported ones I do being overpriced, same for wine), and always having to check what time it is, and whether I am allowed right now to buy alcohol. I drink way more alcohol when I'm not in Thailand, just to 'catch up'... 😆

A post with a photo of alcohol beverages has been removed:

  •  You will not advertise, display, promote, review or endorse, directly or indirectly, the name or trademark of any alcoholic beverage. Such actions are potentially in contravention of Section 32 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act (2008).

So basically nothing. The "exceptions" is basically all of Thailand. What about voting days? This is complete BS spin.

I read the opposite - seems like almost no exceptions: "Service establishments" cover all restaurants, so you can basically buy/consume anywhere.
