REDUX

18 U.S. Code § 871 - Threats against President and successors to the Presidency

Given multiple pre-contemporaneous examples of 8646 referring to impeaching Biden, marketed as such even, it’s difficult to see how any accusation of a threat in this instance would get over the hurdle of reasonable doubt.

But you're a logical, intelligent individual — unaffected by the sweet sports drink, unmotivated by any agenda of retribution, and clearly capable of discerning reasonable doubt.

Sadly the current administration could have prevented all this kerfuffle if they just recognized special knowledge and expertise among government appointees.

Although Kristi (secretary Barbie) Noem is an expert on killing dogs, she was not the person to consult in this case.

If anyone in the current administration knows the meaning of "86ed" it is the illustrious Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. HIs drinking exploits are well-documented and no doubt he is aware of the meaning of the term.

86 is slang for being expelled and banned from a bar, not for murder.

86 can be slang for any number of things. Kristi Noem is a massive bell end, as usual, for linking it to just one of those meanings.

Why didn't you quote the whole thing.

The term eighty-six was used in restaurants and bars, according to most late twentieth-century American slang dictionaries.[6] It is often used in food and drink services to indicate that an item is no longer available or that a customer should be ejected.[6] Beyond this context, it is generally used with the meaning to 'get rid of' someone or something.[6]

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the term as to "refuse to serve (a customer)", or to "get rid of" or "throw out" someone or something.[7] The Oxford English Dictionary says it may be used as a noun or verb.[1] As a noun, "In restaurants and bars, an expression indicating that the supply of an item is exhausted, or that a customer is not to be served; also, a customer to be refused service. Also transferred."[1] As a transitive verb derived from the noun, it means "to eject or debar (a person) from premises; to reject or abandon".[1] The OED gives examples of usage from 1933 to 1981;[1] for example, in The Candidate, a media adviser says to Robert Redford's character, "OK, now, for starters, we got to cut your hair and eighty-six the sideburns".[1]

According to Cassell's Dictionary of Slang, "to 86" also means "to kill, to murder; to execute judicially," likely referring to the size of a standard grave being 2.5 feet wide by 8 feet long and 6 feet deep.[8][9] Other slang dictionaries confirm this definition.[10][11][12]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/86_(term)#:~:text=According to Cassell's Dictionary of,slang dictionaries confirm this definition.

Talk about cherry picking to support your argument.

Went to your reference, in the "Usage" section there are 3 paragraphs and 12 lines of examples and definitions.

The first two paragraphs list the most common usages, like :

[media adviser says to Robert Redford's character, "OK, now, for starters, we got to cut your hair and eighty-six the sideburns".[1]]

Third paragraph of 3, and 11th and 12th lines out of 12 the meaning of killing is given.

Cherry picking is ignoring the most common meanings and latching on to the one that allows you to do your axe-grinding.

Additionally, all the references to this meaning reference underworld and Vegas mafia slang.

So are you suggesting that the shells Comey saw were placed by the notorious Vegas Mafioso Tony "The Shell Writer" Mancuso, famous for communicating mob hits by arranging shells on a beach?
