Hi all,

I have a small revenue-generating online software businesses  that I just do not have the time to work on anymore.

I would love to sell some my business projects, but need advice.

How would I go about selling it? Any online communities that specialize in this?

By the way, I'll be back in Phuket next month.

I would appreciate any advice.

Also I want to avoid scams and time wasters.

Any thoughts?

Be clear what you want to sell.

A business or business projects.

What is the revenue? What is the net profit? How long does the business exist? Any outstanding debts?

What do you sell? What is the legal framework of your business? Are there any other shareholders? Where is your business located?

Is the business a legal entity in Thailand. With licensees etc. Is there anything tangible to sell?

Ok, due to lack of time, I am looking to sell several of my projects. Each project is a separate ready-made online business with its own website, current clients, admin panel, client panel, order page, etc.

As I said this is software online business - selling own software/scripts for site owners worldwide on different topics - ecommerce, blockchain, etc.

It's like, for example, you own a forum script and sell it with licenses to website owners who want to launch a forum on their website.

No debts, no other shareholders, net profit with connected google ads from $1200-$1500 USD/month from a separate project (smaller project). Need to do some additional promotion.

For example, the largest project earned more than $280,000 USD in 5.5 years from software sales.

Everything was created from scratch and these are completely ready-made online businesses.

I hope it's more clear now.

It is an online business, it does not matter where you support it from. The most important thing is the site, software sources, ownership rights. The new owner receives a fully turnkey business to manage and is only engaged in its promotion.

A business has a legal framework, is registered in a country as a business with shareholders, VAT number, ........

Doesn't look like you have a business just a couple of websites selling things.

You are mistaken.

This is a full-fledged online business with its own product, with clients, bringing passive income with minimal participation.

I am not mistaken, you don't have a business to sell but a website which sell products. Big difference.

Ok, special for you. Advice - use Google in the future if you don't understand. I'm not going to argue and explain obvious things.

What is Online Business?

So, what exactly is an online business? Simply put, it’s a business that generates its primary revenue through the Internet. This could involve selling products or services, offering digital downloads, creating content, promoting other businesses’ products through affiliate marketing, or developing software solutions.

Google what a business entitles and what the requirements are to start one. You haven't got a clue.

Don't make me laugh, I've been in online business for over 17 years and have created many successful businesses. I explained to you what online business is from the very first article, but you continue to argue and not understand trivial things. I'm not interested in wasting time on explanations.

Don't clutter the topic, please. Better spend your time and read a couple of articles about "what is online business".

I have been running proper businesses in Europe and Asia for over 40 years. Here is an example what is need to setup a proper (US) business. NOT doing some online transactions and calling it a business. https://www.sba.gov/business-guide/10-steps-start-your-business

Selling a website gives the buyer nothing special. One could start another website and keep doing the same thing again.

The same logic goes for setting up a business then.

It's not that simple though.  It might already have a MRR from subscriptions, a loyal customer based, might be a well known product within a niche, could have traffic from successful marketing channels, email sub subscribers, etc

Simply saying you can start another website and be in the exact same situation as another website is not the case.  Where are your customers going to come from?

As you have done trade with them before, you would have their info and could approach them again.

Oh you mean the seller of the business could start another website and  try and take back the customers?  I thought you meant just any person start a similar website.

Non-compete clauses for a certain period are often included in contracts when selling a turnkey business for that reason.
