Customs Seize Crystal Meth Hidden in Lathe Bound for Australia

Customs officers have seized over 33 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, known as “ice”, ingeniously concealed within a metal lathe machine scheduled for export to Australia. The haul, with an estimated street value of more than 100 million baht, was uncovered at Bangkok Port on 26 May.

On 4th June 2025, a significant training session took place at the Immigration Bureau 2, led by Pol. Maj. Gen. Cherngron Rimpadee. The event was attended by over 100 officers at the site and broadcast live to more than 2,000 police personnel across the country.
