Will need to do a new retirement extension at Jomtien with a new passport (new passport number). I have a valid TM30 and last address report but they have the old passport number on them. Will it be required to do a new TM30 and address report with the new passport number?

It's not clear if you have transferred stamps etc at this point.

Just one suggestion. 

If your 90 report window is open at same time as window for extension I would do at same visit. 

You would do the transfer first followed by the extension and then TM47 in person. 

At some offices the io may handle both. 

At CW it's two separate desks. 

 

Previously I never did TM30. 

Now I do one each time I do annual extension. Suggest you do a new TM30.

My next 90 day report timing does not overlap.

My TM30 as I'm a condo owner is good except if I move.

I don't expat these to be mentioned when transferring stamps. 

Unless there is a report of someone doing similar at Jomtien I guess I need to decide whether to ask them during stamp transfer about the extension or take a chance using my current ones.

When you transfer stamps to a new passport, they will update the systems with your new passport number.

Any email notification you receive of an impending online 90 day notification date, will detail your new passport number.

You also shouldn't have to file a new TM30, but ............. I would ask that question, it being Jomtien!

at CM when I was going to do a transfer of stamps to new pp, the IO under the tent did just as you mentioned, I handed in my extension papers, he said to do a TM 30, then in the window, the IO said walk around to the 90-day window and get that done too and just return but don't have to wait in a queue again.  Two minutes most, TM30 office opened at 8:15 b4 the immigration office did, and 90-day-window no waiting either, then went inside and within 45 minutes, I had finished everything on that extension, transfers of stamps etc.

When i did an extension after getting new passport, a bit over a year ago, I just took the the TM30 out of the old passport and put it in the new passport. Nothing was said.

My TM30 doesn't have a passport number on it.

 

Its a good ideat to do a new TM30 with a new passport. I updated mine at xmas for that reason..

 

When I received my new passport Jomtien insisted on a new TM30 as the previous one was linked to my old passport number.

Did they demand that as a condition to do the stamp transfer to the new passport or did that demand happen at the next immigration service?

Since you deal with problematic immigration office why not just do a tm30.

Because I want to the the stamp transfer first. It seems crazy to do a TM30 now before then. One step at a time. 

On a side note, don't forget to update your bank(s) and DLT (drivers licenses) re new passport number, or you'll find yourself in hot water at some later point.

do you know if you need all the usual documents (certificate of residence, medical certificate etc..) to update the DLT?

 

I don't want to spend again 800b just for change.

Not required in fact why bother update anything re TDL. 

Bank Account definitely. 

Just do the bank account update when you need to attend bank.

Great then don't do a TM30 and when go for transfer you can wait till immigration asks for one.

Nothing was said when the transfer was done, but was raised a month later when doing my 90 day report.

Luckily my wife was with me so could do a new TM30.

After some initial mutterings about late reporting, there was no fine

My situation was a little bit like Fulhamster. When I got a new passport nothing was said about a new TM30 when I transferred the stamps, however when I did my next retirement extension they asked me to do a new TM30. I'd say nothing is certain with Jomtien so I'd just progress one step at a time as you say and see if they bring it up. It's not a big deal filing a new TM30.
