Would you really want to put on a helmet somebody else has worn 5 minutes prior?  Head lice are common in Thailand along with a long list of contagious skin conditions.  Unless drivers would also be required to keep a box of sterile paper beanies to wear under the helmet it would be a no go for me.

Thinking I might have to buy one of those motorbike balaclavas for full coverage. I suppose I could buy my own motorbike helmet but I'll probably forget it at the bar.

Why would you even contemplate using one when you have the pre-determined pricing model of Grab and Bolt at your fingertips

Just another irrelevant whinge from a perennial moaner. Is this the nearest thread you can find to work in your daily policing whine ?

'The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing' My whingeing is mostly aimed at RTP & in particular Pattaya's Kwaistone cops.  Do I take it you see no wrong there?

In Bangkok?  (BIB)

BIB = Boys in Brown.  RTP in whatever location have the tools but just don't use them.  Sometimes it's laziness; a desire to stay in A/C comfort; other times it's for financial reasons.

Take it you havn’t been to Manila then. Nothing moves there never mind works

Of course I have, but only on the way to or from somewhere else, no compelling reason to hang around there.  Elsewhere the trikes seem to operate well enough.
