I recently had to get some Thai official documents translated to English for some business in Australia. I have struggled with this problem of translation for ages but have found a website that provides a list of all NATTI registered translators. NATTI is the official standard that is accepted by all Oz government organisations. The good part of this list is that there is a local Thai lady that can do all your translations with a minimum of fuss and it can all be done via the internet and a scanner.

If it can be done via internet and scanner, the translator could be anywhere in the world and doesn't need to be local, and if certified, doesn't even need to be Thai. Right?
