"I'm pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have, in fact, caught and killed a large predator that supposedly injured some bathers. But, as you see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are open, and people are having a wonderful time. Amity, as you know, means friendship,"

Found this in my email inbox just now today, via the Washington Post:

"The poll finds Americans opposing U.S. airstrikes against Iran by a 20 percentage-point margin — 45 percent to 25 percent — with a sizable 30 percent saying they are unsure." [emphasis added]

...

Two-thirds of Democrats oppose airstrikes against Iran but Republicans are not as united, with 47 percent supporting strikes while 24 percent oppose them and 29 percent have no opinion.

...

Among Trump voters, 46 percent support airstrikes while 26 percent are opposed and 28 percent are unsure."

The poll was conducted among a random sample of 1,008 U.S. adults by text message on June 18. The sample was weighted for U.S. demographics, partisanship and 2024 voting choice.

Yes of course you did.

Here's another one for the mix, not that it makes much difference, these polls are a waste of time. Stopping Iran from getting weapons of mass destruction is the important thing. Be that through a deal (failed so far because of iran), relying on Israel or helping with some strikes with the bunker busters. I'm for helping!

Hill Poll: Voters willing to see US attack Iran over nuclear weapons

Nearly half of likely voters think the United States should be willing to use military force to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, according to this week’s The Hill Poll.
Forty-nine percent said military force should be used, while 31 percent said it should not and 20 percent were not sure.
