Clearly you know nothing about the legal system in the US

"After World War II, we tried, convicted, and in some cases, executed Japanese soldiers for war crimes that included charges of waterboarding," Scott said in a Dec. 9 news release.

I find it odd to see someone  defend autocracy as a bastion of democratic principles .

Do those who identify as "left leaning" actually advocate transing kids as a political partisan ideology or unconditionally welcome open borders  or is that simple disingenuous  counter partisan propaganda you mindlessly subscribe to?

Is it socially advantageous to encourage unrestricted  autocracy that will eventuate in dictatorship not dissimilar to that of Iran or Afghanistan ?

Personally I have no objections to the limitation of legal recognitions pertaining to distortions of social norms any less than to witnessing the infiltration of fringe evangelical influences within the Oval Office .(Paula W ?)

Political extremism is a danger in all and any direction.

Please define autocracy as you understand it, and explain how it relates to the Trump Administration.

Unlike the left, I do not care much about how people look or what they say. I care about what they do.

So sure, the left will claim they are against open borders, and that they are against transing kids, while they keep the border open and trans the kids.

The left claims they support free speech, but shut it down the moment they dissagree.

I’ve already conceded you know nothing of the US legal system, you do not need to provide additional evidence

Obviously not as much as Elon Musk.

Any lucid American of any political party should be gravely concerned for out democracy.

why?? it's working like it should, actually I believe Trump's administration is being harassed with the constant court battles.,

Just like the last administration, they try to do things. They are opposed and then it's litigated in the courts.

The free world is equally concerned with US declining democracy and heading towards authoritarism.

Can you cite some examples of authoritarianism and tell me how it differs from Biden and Obama?

Tolerance and freedom of speech are the pillars of democracy and Trump has violated these essential democratic components with heavy-handedness, overeach and often illegal. Authoritarian regimes typically do not tolerate dissent or freedom of speech. Trump's regime is exhibiting those authoritarian characteristics. The free world support principles and beliefs associated with liberal democracies. Those were the values that was once American values too. Not now but fortunatey those who normalize Trump's authoritarian behavior are in the minority.

This is total BS.

Obama is absolutely correct Trump wants nothing more than to be a dictator, and to have absolute power. His actions recently have shown a total overreaction to the Los Angeles riots, the bringing in of the National Guard, and the Marines, and countless other actions that this goon has taken, that show his autocratic tendencies.

This is a very dangerous time in America and Trump is only helping to precipitate the decline that has already been happening for a long time now.

Do you know that JFK and LBJ used the National Guard to enforce desegregation?    This was against the wishes of the sitting governors.  Do you consider this an authoritarian overreach?
