Smokin’ Rooms or Slow Suicide? What Are You Lot Even Thinkin’?
Who the fekk’s still usin’ them smokin’ rooms in airports and other public spots, eh? You know the ones I mean. Little glass torture chambers shoved in the far corner like they’re tryin’ to hide the shame. Ten square feet of misery, visibility down to knee height, and every poor sod inside lookin’ like they’ve been sentenced for crimes against fresh air. I get it, yeah lads. Nicotine cravings sneak up on ya like a dodgy ex. But mate, how desperate do you have to be to lock yourself in a Perspex coffin with a dozen other wheezin’ zombies, all puffin’ away like it’s last orders on the Titanic? There’s more oxygen on Mars than in them booths. It ain’t smokin’ at that point, it’s organised suffocation. And have you clocked their faces? Not a smile in sight. No joy, no relief, just dead-eyed stares like they’ve already written their obituaries. Like, “Yep, this is how I go. Surrounded by strangers and Marlboro fog.” You’d get more pleasure lickin’ the inside of a bin. At that point, it ain’t even a ciggie break. It’s a cry for help with a lighter. Might as well shrink-wrap your head and climb into a tumble dryer. -
