Two teenagers have tragically died, and three others are in hospital after an electric shock at a beach bar in Hạ Long City, northern Việt Nam, early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 1am at Bistro Fou, located in Bãi Cháy Ward. The five victims, all underage employees of the bar, were cleaning a water feature near the main stage when they were electrocuted. It's reported they were all standing in water at the time.

Prompt action from bystanders saw the electricity quickly shut off, and the victims pulled from the area. Emergency services were contacted immediately, but by their arrival, all five were unconscious. Paramedics administered emergency aid for about 30 minutes at the scene.

Tragically, two of the victims, T.Q.T and T.Đ.H, both born in 2008 from Dương Huy Commune, Cẩm Phả City, were declared dead on site. These teenagers were high school students who had taken up part-time work at the bar during their summer break.

The surviving three—Nguyễn Tiến Đạt (born 2009), Nguyễn Chính Nghĩa (born 2008), and Đặng Kiên Cường (born 2008)—have regained consciousness and have been taken to Bãi Cháy Hospital for further treatment.

In response to the incident, the bar has been temporarily closed as authorities conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of this tragic accident.
