I gently reminded my wife she was overdue for her 90-day permanent resident report, adding with a straight face that the Canadian government might be getting a little antsy about her skipped duties. Then, just to seal the deal, I mentioned the crucial need for the original marriage certificate. The ensuing panic and accusations about my lack of foresight were exactly what I was expecting. She is obviously in the panic mode
