I am still having problems finding cornmeal or cornbread mix. So, I have a question for the smart chef out there: Is it possible to make cornbread using fresh corn and not cornmeal?

Think about it. Cornmeal is nothing but dried corn that has been ground. To make cornbread you mix it with some flour and then add eggs and milk.....it becomes wet.

Why not skip the cornmeal process. Why can't you just use fresh corn and cut it off the cob, then put it in a blender with some eggs and milk and mix it up. Then add it to flour...............

In other words, do you really need the cornmeal? If I had access to a kitchen, I would try it. But at the moment I do not. Thanks for any input.
