Where is the restaurant car done-up like a disco these days? I caught it up to Nong Khai once on the night sleeper about three years ago. You know the one: coloured lights, rotating disco globe, good music and a friendly katoey serving staff. Great fun (especially when coming from Vietnam)!!!

Somebody told me they had seen it on the BKK - Chang Mai route a while ago.

Anymore recent sightings?

I dunno if it's the same one - last week on Suk Rd near Soi 1 (past Nana heading to Siam) there was a Red and White VW camper van park on the pavement that was opened as a bar with music on full and seating outside of it. I ain't been BKK for a while but I've never seen it stopped there before as we always walk up there to a food place.

No one was sitting at it however!

Not so much a recent sighting but yes Bkk to Chiang Mai in 2005 and there was a woman serving food who looked like a man (dont think she was katoey as they are men usually looking like women) She didnt take much of a shine to me either, taking my own food into the restaurant car ah well
