i think the news is a big confusing when it states "people entered into the registration system may become eligible for a pink card, an identification document for people without Thai nationality. Under Thai law, the document can provide access to rights including basic education, healthcare and certain financial transactions." I don't know what The registration in itself provides - but i am pretty certain a "pink ID" in itself does not nominally provide access rights to Thai health care (although i do recall it provided some of us with the pink-ID and advantage during COVID to get an earlier jab). On the topic of the 'pink-ID' my view is it doesn't provide much advantage for the vast majority of expats, but i concede for some ( a small number) there may be a not-insignificant advantage. However the 'exception' I have in mind (that can be beneficial) is highly unlikely to be beneficial to those in whom the article refers. So i find this a bit puzzling.
