KRABI - In a sad turn of events on Koh Phi Phi Island, a 55-year-old French tourist was discovered dead on a sofa outside the local police station. The man, known for enjoying his holiday, was seen heavily intoxicated the night before at a nearby bar, struggling to stay awake.

BANGKOK - Cambodia has launched a series of aggressive attacks against Thai civilians by firing rockets and artillery across the shared border. The strikes resumed for a second day on July 25, targeting deserted homes in the Srivichian subdistrict of Nam Yuen, Ubon Ratchathani. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, as residents had already evacuated to makeshift shelters.

A violent whirlwind (small tornado - in Thai พายุงวงช้าง) swept through parts of Phitsanulok province on the evening of 24 July, leaving widespread damage in its wake. At least 20 homes were destroyed, along with significant damage to a local temple and school. One elderly man was injured in the storm and has been hospitalised.

NEW YORK - Cambodia is urging an "immediate ceasefire" with Thailand after deadly skirmishes between the two neighbouring nations. This appeal was made by Cambodia's United Nations envoy after two days of intense fighting, which prompted the UN Security Council to convene an emergency meeting.
