Gentlemen,

 

I have seen the post "5 best tailors" - the ones located in Sukhumvit gathering to tourists. Going rate for a shirt is there 1500 THB.

I am interested in places that are frequented and recommended by local working Thai men and I doubt they will visit the "5 best tailors".

I am not trying to be cheap but there should be a difference in price to the Ralph Lauren shirt at Macys.

I bought a suit recently for a high end UK  wedding for 5 k baht. This was not a high end tailor but did the job.

Nice, maybe you can name the place and location.

They all use the same "tailors" in the back sois of downtown BKK...

Thank God I was able to dodge a wedding back home so I didn't have to shell out for an expensive suit I hardly ever wear. 

 

I am down to 0 suits now in Thailand. I'm guess I am not a very important person.

No idea. Never bought a tailored shirt.

Rajah's in BKK has serviced the US diplomats including many from Washington.  He maintains their measurements and when they arrive they have already contacted him for what they want.  I myself had at least 10 suits, shirts, pants over many years and never any problems and good prices too.  I haven't worn a tie or dress shirt for many years as a retiree so prices may have changed.  Good luck!
