An 80-year-old local man was found dead in a forest in Huai Krachao district, Kanchanaburi, with his body showing extensive burn marks, authorities confirmed.

 

At 20:25 on 9 August, the Huai Krachao branch of the Kanchanaburi Rescue Foundation received a report of a fatality in a wooded area in Moo 16, Huai Krachao subdistrict. Six rescue volunteers, along with an ambulance, were dispatched to the scene.

 

Upon arrival, responders discovered the victim lying face down. Large areas of his body had been severely burned. Police investigators from Huai Krachao Police Station and an on-duty doctor were called to examine the scene.

 

The cause of death has yet to be determined and it remains unclear how the man came to suffer the burns. His body has been sent for an autopsy.

 

Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
