Are you aware how many migrants head into Thailand not of the books? You'll find many of them working in the buildings projects, farms, in the cities. They literally have an open border with Myanmar. Those men in the back of trucks building the skyscrapers are not Thais. 

 

Dubai is literally built by migrants. 

 

In India millions (and i mean millions) head from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal into India yearly. 

 

The USA despite Trumps rhetoric is still packed full of migrants crossing all the time. 

 

Europe has literal land borders with most of these nations. 

 

We barely take any migrants in. The reason we are noticing it now is because Brexit means we cannot send them back to France, and 2) the Conservative government for some reason slowed down their cases. 

 

These 30,000 people crossing the border will not effect your life one bit. If it's crap it will still be crap when they stop coming.

A year ago I pointed out to the resident nationalists on AN that it’s not illegal to tip up on UK shores and claim asylum.

For one thing, old farts living in Thailand care about the country their kids live in, and how much of their retirement income they'll have to send to the kids to afford living in the UK.

For another, a visit to Kanchanaburi will show you what happens to "old farts that live in Thailand" when SHTF as it did in WW2.  It would be nice to know there's a country to go back to, and afford to live there.

 

And just as importantly, why is it okay to spend $trillions on The Great Green Scam when it's just based on forecasts, but not okay to change policy on immigration based on forecasts.  It's not just "How have I been affected to date?".  It's also "What's going to happen if we keep this crap up?"

The sea levels rising hasn't effected me. I vote, and hope my government looks after the enviromnment. But you seem very preoccupied by migrants.

Those ' Old men ' living n Thailand, comply with Thailands requirements to live in Thailand.

 

Very few, if any, will get anything in terms of benefits or support from the Thai Government.

 

All of those ' Old men ' that I personally know, all have occupational pensions and the State Pension is nothing more than extra beer tokens.

 

And this ' Old man ' isn't old enough to claim the State Pension.

 

Anyway
