German Civil Agency Urges Citizens to Prepare for War

The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance in Germany has issued a striking new guide emphasising war preparedness, stating that conflict is now a more plausible scenario. The guide advises Germans to maintain food supplies ranging from three to ten days and offers guidance on handling various crises. This marks the first time in 35 years that military scenarios are explicitly included, reflecting concern over Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine and its implications for European security.

The BBK's guide, titled "Preparing for Crises and Disasters," acknowledges a shifting global landscape, incorporating hybrid threats like cyber-attacks and misinformation. President Ralph Tiesler explained the necessity of preparation, stressing that being ready in advance pays off. He noted that the guide seeks to assist citizens in recognising disinformation and managing fears during potential attacks, offering strategies for shelter and safety.

Martin Jäger, head of Germany's Federal Intelligence Service, echoed these concerns, cautioning against complacency. The release of the guide has sparked discourse on practical preparedness, particularly around food stockpiling. While Tiesler encourages maintaining a "living supply" through regular consumption, practicality remains challenging given space and financial constraints.

Looking forward, the BBK's guidance calls for Germans to adapt their shopping habits by integrating emergency supplies into their routines. The suggested strategy involves gradually accumulating essentials, such as canned foods and water, and maintaining a well-stocked medicine cabinet. The guide also advises having alternative power sources, such as crank radios and solar-powered flashlights, to ensure continued communication during outages.

Key Takeaways:

  • Germany's crisis guide now includes war preparedness due to rising tensions.
  • Citizens are advised to maintain a three to ten-day supply of essentials.
  • Alternative power sources and practical supply strategies are recommended.

I'm sure the usual racist DEI policies would be "suspended" during the recruitment of young men to fight for the country.

Rather alarmist and exaggerated although German government agencies aren't prone to such actions, they are usually logical and factual. They are possibly seeking support for the debt necessary for an expanded military which is bound to be unpopular, this statement would be more understandable in a nation prone to hysteria, like America.

It's not Germany starting a war. It's the corrupt and bribed German and European politicians who will escalate the ongoing proxy war for big finance and the military-industrial complex. The system wants a war, the system needs a war, the system will have its war, doesn't matter if the people want it or not.

Of course they didn't they just started a special military operation against Ukraine.

That's not a war a war would mean both countries fighting each other and people dying it only turned into a war because Ukraine resisted and fought back so it must be Ukraine's fault it turned into a war not Russia's right.

What long-term provocation was that? The audacity of former Warsaw Pact nations to decide what alliances they wish to forge and pursue as independent sovereign states?

Didn't you notice, before the "special operation", how European NATO countries significantly increased their defense budget, how the US increased its military presence in Europe, and how they moved offensive missiles closer to Russia's borders?

I'm joking, of course! 😆

All wars are fake.

Besides, this article is a classic piece of psyop / social engineering drivel.

Why change tactics though when it's always worked well from the get go.

Not in this case it’s the Russians who are the aggressors + Germany has a unique history having been the aggressor in the last one and suffered the consequences.(well deserved In my view) they understand that you can’t appease someone like putin.

Correct, Russia/USSR started MANY wars.

If any of the members actually read many of the media sources based in western Europe, they may see that many countries in the region have increased their military preparedness in fear of a Russia attack/invasion.

But, I suppose many members here do not take the time to read foreign media sources.

If you keep poking the bear , he will strike back.

Not suggesting.

The west and Ukraine started this war a long time ago.
