Thousands are expected to gather for mourning ceremonies honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, prompting the Ministry of Public Health to mobilize health authorities across Thailand. Public Health Minister Pattana Promphat instructed the provincial public health emergency operation centres (Pheos) to organize emergency medical services. This plan, discussed in a high-level meeting, ensures readiness for the expected large crowds.

In preparation, health officials will set up first aid units, patient transfer services, and infectious disease teams. These teams will also focus on mental health, food safety, and environmental sanitation in areas where attendees will gather. Every province is tasked with establishing volunteer medical teams led by provincial health chiefs, with volunteers trained in CPR and the use of AEDs.

Additionally, the ministry is launching blood and organ donation campaigns to honor the late Queen Mother, aligning with the government's instructions for ministry personnel to wear mourning attire for one year. Pattana emphasized the importance of provincial offices reporting their preparedness and ongoing activities to the Pheo centre regularly. This coordinated effort aims to ensure safety and support during this period of national mourning.

Looking forward, provinces will continue to monitor and relay information to ensure the health and safety of attendees. The emphasis will be on maintaining protocols and readiness for any medical emergencies that might arise.
