Was at a party up in the mountains of Chiang dao sat with the police chef, he said corrupt police are sent to me. I don't accept my officers taking bribes.

I'm sure there are a few good cops but even a high-ranking cop who professes to be straight, I would question it.

Years ago, a mid-level BKK cop and his mia noi were having a drink with us in our garden and we were told his bosses were reassigning him to the south of Thailand (Yala I think), because he wasn't corrupt and wouldn't agree to do what they wanted to make them money. True? Why else would they tell us? (okay, maybe it's a story he told the mia noi to explain why he'd soon be dumping her?) anyway, the 'honest cop getting transfered' was the story they told us.

Yes he was. He always spoke up against the crooked cops. He was set up to get rid of him. And I don’t care what any out there think of my judgment.
