I'm not really the type to talk about it but feel free to get a barstool in Pattaya and bore the pants off everyone.

For someone who doesn't like "to talk about it" you haven't done anything else for the last couple of hours!

I've never actually been to Pattaya, but I understand that the barstools are occupied by the likes of you, nursing a beer, with "1000 yard stares" and "not really the type to talk about it".

Sounds like you know about as much about Pattaya as the other subjects you drone on about on here all day.

You should try visiting, having been there a few times and met some of the local expats and bar workers I reckon you would fit right in.

The French military acquitted itself bravely throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Napoleon didn't achieve his victories with cowards. And even during the first half of World War I the French were massacred in enormous numbers on the Western Front. Then, something broke in 1917. Almost half of the French divisions on the Western Front mutinied refusing to "go over the top" or return to their trenches. Large numbers of collective mutinies occurred in at least 60 out of 110 French divisions. I don't think the country has ever recovered. Neither has Europe, more generally. Millions of the best and most capable were just chopped up by machine guns and artillery. It's after that that the French began to acquire the stereotype of the puffed up rooster that fled when danger intruded. Now, they've got the country made by the residue of those who didn't get slaughtered.

The French fought bravely at the Battle of Verdun.  They deserve props for this.

It’s a start. Every country should have full national service (as long as not corrupt like Thailand), not least to get kids off their phones and backside.

I think he is still refused entry, that is why he uses it as a nonsense reply to every member who never considered entering a third world country, and he has recently started a few topics on where to live in Thailand.

Take note, his primary requirements are the lowest of low cost living

yeah, and the USA used to have it too circa early 60's...yeah and (please forgive me mentioning it but) current US president used heel spurs for a deferment while going on to active college sports!

"Strawman. Israel's war following October 7 for example is totally just" genocide...
