Elon Musk's DOGE tally: The federal workforce is down while government spending is up

 

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — formerly run by Elon Musk — ends 2025 with strikingly divergent results around its two primary goals.

On one front, government payroll numbers are down this year by about 9%, from 3.015 million federal workers in January to 2.744 million in November.

At the same time, government spending hasn't slowed, despite Musk's promises there. A tool from the Brookings Institution's Hamilton Project tracks government money headed out the door in real time and shows outlays as of Dec. 19 have risen from $7.135 to 7.558 trillion.

That's a nearly 6% increase.

Well I'm sure he is absolutely  devastated as I doubt he never gave a second  thought as to how his actions would enrage a small group of sexpats on an obscure Thai forum.

This used to be a forum on Thailand. Now its a haven for screeching anti semites and Trump obsessives whose noise drowns out the useful information.

Of course Trump is not the only one the haters have in their sights, anybody who doesn't actually despise him is also considered a valid target, simply for not joining in the hatefest

Do you stay up all night trying to think of ways to defend the indefensible? One might ask why is your skin so thin and why are you constantly taking such offence to Trump critiques?

 

Surely your intellect must comprehend the probability that any man who is such an extremist, any man who designed such destructive policies, and any man who goes out of his way to alienate the majority of the world is going to receive a lot of criticism. 

 

What's the big deal anyway? Why are you so heavily invested and why doesn't the water just roll off your back?

it's clear enough that "hate" is a very profitable emotion, whether its directed at Trump and those who dont hate him,  or cannabis and those that use it,  or sometimes simply just the poor British 

           Could the "protected " status now bestowed  upon  other traditional targets that many dislike have something to do with this ?

It seems to be universally acknowledged at this point that DOGE was not only an enormous failure, but was incredibly destructive instead.

 

Even Musk has more or less admitted that himself, and once you figure out what was going on he sure fled that ship in a hurry.
